Metropolitan General’s 1st Neurosurgery Clinic plays an important role in the effective management of central nervous system disorders.
Metropolitan General accommodates a complete set of cutting-edge devices, such as: surgical microscope, high speed drill, intraoperative navigation system, Leksell and CRW stereotactic system, intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring system for the monitoring of the central and peripheral nervous system.
The 1st Neurosurgery Clinic conducts procedures pertaining to the entire brain and pituitary surgical oncology and traumatology, as well as the whole range of spine surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques (MISS). Furthermore, the Clinic may fully treat brain and spinal vascular conditions, either endovascularly, with the assistance of the well equipped Department of Interventional Neuroradiology, or via open surgery.
Finally, there is significant support from Metropolitan General’s modern Department of Medical Imagining and the excellently equipped ICU for patients with severe neurological conditions.
