Minimally invasive method for the treatment of prostate hyperplasia “TURis plasma vaporization”
For many years, traditional transurethral prostatectomy had been the most effective treatment method for benign prostate hyperplasia. However, since 2008, prostate vaporization via the TURis plasma electrode offers a minimally invasive and blood-free treatment option for benign prostate hyperplasia cases, requiring only overnight hospitalization and one-day catheter, while providing the ability to obtain biopsy specimens.
Laser-assisted lithotripsy is a minimally invasive and effective surgical treatment for urinary lithiasis, with minimum complications. It applies to stones detected in the kidneys, ureter and bladder. It is performed under general anesthesia and requires overnight hospitalization (1 day).
Stones smaller than 1 cm are managed with extracorporeal lithotripsy which lasts about 40 minutes; it requires no anesthesia and the patient is discharged on the same day.
